The Ordos Basin is China's second-largest gas-producing basin. Research efforts to develop the tight reservoirs began nearly two decades ago. Current tight gas production is roughly 4,600 mmcfd, mainly from the play's key fields: Sulige, South Sulige, Changbei and Daniudi.
